I truly, truly wish that along with every other system that Blizzard has set they would reset the progression system in the game. That's fine but what if you could continue to slowly but surely improve secondary stats by doing a couple of dailies now and then. Dailies of course tie directly into this. Of all the things I think that need to be fixed in the game this is the #1 for me. This gear as player progression business distorts the game and robs it of doing activities that might be considered fun to do because they do nothing at all to progress your character. Raids could still reward more but the primary point would be that if you play and do things you progress, even a little. Reward sharp looking gear (if they can do that any longer) for achieving certain plateaus (or tokens that allow you to go shopping for new or previous tiers) and call it a day. Play your character, do things and progress at the rate you prefer. Theoretically limits can be calculated on how high stats can go for any given tier. Make all the gear transmog and put player power into the character itself as a reward for the things you do in the game. See the difference between most world content in previous expansions, where reps gave you mediocre rewards far worse than raid gear, and MoP dailies, which would have been fun had you not felt like you were falling behind if you missed a day.I truly, truly wish that along with every other system that Blizzard has set they would reset the progression system in the game. If it's rewarding, it doesn't feel optional. World content, if it's optional, it's not rewarding.
